Detailed Itinerary

In the morning depart from Ho Chi Minh City (Sai Gon) to My Tho. Upon arrival to My Tho, take a boat trip along the town over fishing port then cruise up to Mekong River to Ben Tre where you can see and feel typical daily activities on the river. Be sure to visit local workshop making coconut candies from coconut milk and walk along local village before taking a ride on a horse carriage on the country road. Horse carriage used to be the only transport available here hundred years ago. We will make sure you enjoy visiting a local family to taste some home made honey tea and tropical fruits. After that, you can cruise as local on hand rowing sampan along small shallow canals that were fill up of green water coconut trees growing along. After all of these interesting discoveries, you will enjoy typical lunch prepared in a family run restaurant with elephant ear fish and green claw prawn, the specialty of Mekong Delta. After lunch, cruise back to My Tho and drive back to Sai Gon.
