Summary

With 250 kms long, Cu Chi Tunnel was of major importance during the U.S. Vietnam war. Thirty years later it still remind of the tragedy, yet it is also a proof to clever ideas being exploited in fighting for survival during wartime. If you get this tragic feelings, move further to Tay Ninh province which is situated on the outer edges of Vietnam along the Cambodian border and serves as the headquarter as one of the country’s most interesting religions founded in the 1920’s: Cao Dai religion. Visit the Cao Dai holy land, you will have a great chance to see the wonderful architecture of Cao Dai Grand Temple built in 1933. The temple is a pagoda, cathedral and Taoist place of worship rolled in one. The unique ritual ceremony in the mid-day here is your visit.

Depart from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi tunnel only 60km from HCMC. Visit the incredible tunnel net work which was built by Viet Cong during the war time. Then drive to Tay Ninh to visit Cao Dai Temple, the holly temple of Cao dai religion founded in 1926. Attend impressive Mid-day Mass carried on every day by Caodaists. Lunch at Thu Thao Restaurant before coming back to Saigon.
