Phong Nha is mysterious cave located in the limestone cliff of Ke Bang, Quang Binh province, 50 Km North West of Dong Hoi Town. The cave still remains all original form of stalactite and stalacmite. The boat trip on Son River through beautiful scenery of water and mountain is really impressive, along the river yo.u can enjoy seeing daily activities of local people. When entering the cave, be patient enough, because it is the longest underground river in the world (13969m). Phong Nha cave also has the biggest gate, the most beautiful underground lake and stalactite and stalectite in the world. Hue was the last capital of Vietnam under feudal system (from 1802 to 1945. There are lots of historical relics remained in this city (like an indeed great museum). Hue is also one of the most scenic places in Vietnam with beautiful Perfume River in the middle of the city. Life here seems to be peaceful and quiet like hundred years ago. Small streets with green trees shading along, old relics from the past can be seen at every corner. Danang is the biggest city in central Vietnam. This city started developing from the end of 19th century after replacing Hoi An as a the country’s main seaport. During American war, Danang was the most important city in the central Vietnam, which operated the biggest port and airport in the area. The city develops rapidly, yet the most attractive place to see in town is Cham Museum and China beach, the place famous for R&R in Vietnam War. Hoi An used to be the biggest sea port in the centre of Vietnam from 15th to 19th century. Merchant ships from many countries such as the Netherlands, Great Britain, Japan, France, Portugal, China, Indonesia etc. used to anchor here to purchase silk, pottery, tea, pepper and lacquerware of Vietnam. Many Chinese and Japanese people settled down here and set up their communities together with Vietnamese people. At the end of 19th century, the port was moved to the city of Danang, Hoi An therefore was forgotten and turned to be as Vietnamese called it “a sleeping beauty”. This town was not getting much affection during the French era and even ruined later on by the American War. But still there are 844 unique historical relics to explore. Staying in Hoi An is like a living in a museum. The streets still intact just like it used to be hundreds years ago with ancient houses, Japanese Bridge or Chinese Congregations Assembly Halls, with influences from Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Westerners who later settled down the region. Now, tourism like a prince woke the sleeping beauty up. Hoi An is now back on track, exciting and busy like never yet before. My Son is one of 5 world heritage in Vietnam ware recognized by UNESCO in 2000 . Located only 60 kms from Hoi An, this place used to be the holy land of Cham people from 4th to 13th century. From 15th century, it was forgotten by the people till the end of 19th century, the French discover it. At that time, My Son still remained more that 70 intact towers, which used to be the place for Cham people worshiping to Hinduism and the King of Champa Kingdom.
