Testimonial - Seagate Expedition - Vietnam tourism

Greetings from Seagate Expedition!

First of all, thank you for choosing our tours. May we ask you to take
a few minutes to evaluate the overall tour services we offered? We
take your comments and criticism seriously, any enhancing suggestion
and advice about our services, hotels and foods would be highly
welcomed. All of us at Seagate Travel look forward to working for
you on your next vacation!

Basically, we are quite concerned whether you were served well
in Hanoi and Sapa especially for the following points:

1. Meals: how do you like the meals arranged for you? If there is only
one meal you would like to recommend to your friends or family,
    which one you will choose?

The meals were generally satisfactory.  However we did not get to dine at your suggested Al Dente and was re-directed to T-bone which we were informed runned by the same owner.  However, we find the food there most dis-satisfactory.  At Sapa town, Geko was the best, good service and good quality of food.  Victor Sapa's dinner was only average for a high end hotel.  We were also happy with the rest of the restaurants and appreciate the roast pig and red wine we had in Bac Ha or when Uov suggested hot pot on one of the cold days.

2. Guides:
1). Was there any specific guide whose working attitude was far
         from conscientious?

We had the care of Uov throughout our visit in Sapa and we find him a young and enthusiastic guide.  His love for animals, plants was a good compliment to our love for nature and he pointed out interesting sights for our attention.  He is also friendly with the local and was able to manage our logistics well.

It would be even better if he could provide us more information on the local culture, which when I compare notes with my friend who was staying at VIctoria Sapa at the same time, had more information of the locals given by their guide.  (But this is not a complaint, just a feedback.)

As for Rosa in Hanoi, I can understand your assignment of a relatively young guide for the job as we're only there for half a day.  Again this is not to be taken as a complaint.  I can see Rosa tries and has good attitude however, she is still young and inexperience.  Like when she couldn't find us at the train station, she seem to rush through our telephone conversation but without sufficient information, she was still unable to locate us and she did not have my contact number to contact me.  She had to call the office to secure the information.  We waited a long time at the station.  She did not know how to care for the group, tends to get in or out of the van on her own without ushering us when we arrive at or leave our shopping points.  At times we did not know whether to get off or on the van.

2). Was there any specific guide whose pronunciation of English
(or other languages as you required originally) was so disappointing
that the normal communications were influenced?

Manageable.

3). Was there any guide whose knowledge about the places your
visited were notably lacking?

As mentioned above.

3. Cars: What do you think of the service attitude of the driver and
was the cars kept clean all the way?

The drivers at Sapa were careful drivers and we're very happy with their service standards.  They do not take unnecessary risk be it travelling on a crowded road, a poorly constructed road (jeep ride) or a very misty road where visability was very poor.   Our van driver keeps the van clean too, making our ride comfortable.

4. Hotel : How do you think about hotel services ?

The hotels were generally within our expectation (as per their hotel website).  The only slight difficulty was the temporary hotel at Lao Cai train station where Vou put us up and left us to clean up.  The hotel did not switch on their water pressure to the full and heater.  We gave Vou the feedback and he immediately told off the hotel staff.  We note the immediate change in water pressure and availability of hot water.  But by then, we were ready to leave to catch the train.  We also note that while we left the hotel for dinner and have not checked out, the hotel let our one of our 4 rooms.  When my friends entered the room, the new guest and them were both shocked.

Finally, was there any compliments for you to pay to any of our guides
who was exceptionally helpful or was any part of the tour arrangements
that made your trip memorable? If there is a space for you in the
testimonial column in our website, what would you like to publish in
our favor?

I am very happy with the service attitude of the agency and all the staff assigned to take care of us.  Everyone was careful, friendly and professional.  They provided service with a sincere smile.

I'm also very happy with your (Quynh Giang) services, you were able to understand our concerns and request and made all the necessary arrangements promptly without us worrying for a minute the reliability of your agency.  It was you who started the whole business contract, as compared to other agencies, I did not feel their sincerity as of yours.  Thank you very much.

Unless otherwise requested, we would like to publish your comments
as well as your email address into our Testimonial column among all
of our happy clients, if you do not like your email address being
published in our website, an additional note in advance is very much
appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Hope to offer our service for you in the future. Please do not hesitate
to drop us an email should you need further information or help.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Tran,

I am sending this email because I want to let you know that we had a wonderful trip to Vietnam and Sapa was certainly a highlight.  Thank you for all of the arrangements and itinerary advice.  Our guide was very nice and did a great job.  The trip to Sapa went perfectly.

Thank you again and if I have any friends that go to Vietnam in the future I will be sure to recommend Seagate travel to them.

Sincerely,

Michael Schwartz

Hi, how are you? As told before I like the tour . I really appreciate. THus reason I would like to request your help to prepare one tour to Hanoi.

I am planning to stay on wednesday night and stay 4 days in Hanoi.

Arriving on 20 night and leaving sunday night 24.
Or maybe travel on 22 night and come back on 26 night.

Based on that can you check what are the best options. This time we would like to enjoy more resorts and the waterfront in Hanoi, maybe arrange some boat tour and snorkeling activities.
